Ventura Woman Killed In Solo Vehicle Crash

     Ventura police say they know how a fatal crash happened

Friday afternoon they are trying to figure out why.

     They say the victim, 34-year-old Ventura woman, was driving in the 7200 block of Bristol Road, west of Ramelli Avenue around 4:55 PM, when her vehicle went out of control, struck a tree, a wall, and ended up on its side.

     Police say the woman, who was the only occupant, was ejected from her vehicle.

     Emergency personnel administered CPR, but she was pronounced dead at the scene.

     Police were investigating why the woman was driving in the way she was that led to the crash.

     Witnesses told police that the prior to the crash the woman was driving erratically at a high rate of speed when she lost control while using the wrong side of the road in an attempt to pass other vehicles.
