Ventura County Residents Involved In Fatal DUI Montecito Crash

Several Ventura County residents were involved in a fatal crash on the 101 Freeway in Montecito early Sunday morning.
The two vehicle crash was reported shortly after 3 AM on the southbound 101 before the Olive Mill off ramp.
The CHP says one of the vehicles, a 2002 Mercury Mountaineer SUV went over the side of the roadway.
A passenger in that vehicle, a 77-year-old Santa Paula man was killed.
The driver of that vehicle, a 67-year-old Santa Paula woman was taken to Cottage Hospital in Santa Barbara with major injuries.
Meanwhile, the three people in the other vehicle, a 2019 Toyota Camry suffered only minor injuries and were treated at the scene or declined treatment.
The CHP says the driver of the Camry is a 22-year-old Port Hueneme man who they say was arrested for DUI.
His two passengers were a 24-year-old Oxnard woman and a 22-year-old woman from Dallas Texas.
