Ventura County authorities say they have concluded a five month investigation that has greatly disrupted a major transnational drug trafficking operation.

Eight people have been arrested and a large amount of illegal drugs and money seized in connection with a cocaine delivery service that was supplying illegal drugs to hundreds of people in eastern Ventura County and Los Angeles County every day.

The arrests involved several levels of the sophisticated operation.

That includes dispatchers who took orders and dispatched drivers to deliver the cocaine, the people in charge of storing and repackaging the drugs, the couriers who handled getting the drugs and then sending the money back to the suppliers in El Salvador, and finally the drivers who delivered the drugs to customers.

The eight arrests were people from ranged in age from 20-40 and who lived in Bakersfield and several parts of the San Fernando Valley.
