Mother And Daughter Killed In Fillmore Crash

     The Ventura County Sheriff's Office says that a mother and daughter were killed in a two-vehicle crash Friday evening in Fillmore.

     It was reported shortly before 7 PM at Ventura Street (which is also Highway 126) at Clay Street on the east side of the city.

     Deputies say that the mother and daughter, both adults, were in a sedan that collided head on with a with a pickup truck.

     They died at the scene.

     The four people in the pickup sustained non-life threatening injuries.

     The crash shut down Ventura Street for several hours Friday night into early Saturday morning.

     The sheriff's department provides police services for Fillmore but the crash was actually investigated by traffic deputies from Camarillo, another VCSO contract city.

     No other details have been released yet.
