Rebecca Grossman Sentenced In Traffic Deaths Of Two Brothers In Westlake Village

Monday June 10, 2024

Updated--Socialite Rebecca Grossman was sentenced Monday in connection with the DUI-related hit and run traffic collision in Westlake Village that claimed the lives of two young brothers.

The judge sentenced her to 15-years-to-life in prison.

     Prosecutors had wanted 34-years-to-life.

On the evening of September 29, 2020, Mark and Jacob Iskander were in a marked crosswalk with other family members when prosecutors say the 60-year-old Grossman struck the boys and then kept on going until her vehicle broke down a mile away.

Mark was 11 and Jacob 8 at the time of their deaths.

Prosecutors say Grossman was impaired at the time and was racing a friend, former Dodger Scott Erickson.

Following deliberations over two days, the jury in February of this year convicted her on two counts of second degree murder, two counts of vehicular manslaughter with gross negligence, and one felony count of hit and run driving.

Grossman, who had been free on bail, was taken into custody following the verdicts.
