Oxnard Woman Identified As Victim Of Montecito Homicide

     An Oxnard woman has been identified as the victim of a homicide in Montecito.

     The Santa Barbara County Sheriff's Office says that around 5:30 AM on the morning of Thursday, September 29, 2022, deputies responded to the 800 block of East Mountain Drive to a report of a woman screaming.

     When they arrived, they found 32-year-old Blanca Aguilera (aka Espinosa) of Oxnard.

     She was found lying in the roadway, seriously injured.

     She was rushed to the hospital where she died that night from her injuries.

     Detectives say the investigation determined that those injuries had been caused by being struck by a vehicle and they say the collision was the result of an intentional act by someone she knew.

     They know who that person is and are continuing to look for that individual.
