Oxnard Man Killed In Thousand Oaks Motorcycle Crash Identified

     Updated--The Ventura County Sheriff's Office has identified the motorcyclist killed in a crash in Thousand Oaks late Friday night.

     They say that 21-year-old Jose Luis Diaz Cruz of Oxnard died in the crash that happened shortly after 11 PM Friday at the intersection of Westlake Boulevard and Hillcrest Drive.

     Deputies say the Cruz was riding southbound on Westlake Boulevard when he collided with a sedan traveling on Hillcrest Drive.

     Cruz was ejected from his motorcycle.

     First responders performed life saving measures at the scene before he was taken to Los Robles Medical Center in Thousand Oaks where he was pronounced dead a short time later.

     The driver of the sedan was also taken to the hospital with minor injuries, treated and released.

     Traffic investigators were still trying to determine exactly what happened leading up to the collision.
