Updated--The Camarillo man who went on an hours-long countywide rampage almost two years ago pleaded guilty Friday to First Degree Murder, six counts of Attempted Murder, two counts of Assault with a Deadly Weapon, and one count of False Imprisonment by Violence.

On April 18, 2023, then 25-year-old Austin Eis of Camarillo started his three-city violent crime spree with attacks on several people at the Walmart in Simi Valley.

It ended with using his car to intentionally run down several students waiting for a ride on on the corner outside Westlake High School in Thousand Oaks.

That left one student, 15-year-old Wesley Welling of Thousand Oaks, dead and several others injured.

In between those incidents Eis went to his parent's home in Camarillo and terrorized them.

In his plea deal with prosecutors, Eis will be sentenced on April 14th to 85-years-to-life in prison.
