Average Ventura County Gasoline Prices Stay Below $5

     Update--Average gasoline prices in Ventura County continue to stay well below $5 a gallon.

     According to Tuesday morning's Triple-A Fuel Gauge Survey, the average price for the cheapest grade of regular gasoline in the county stood at $4.77 a gallon.

     That is more than a dime less than it was a week ago, 13 cents below what it was a month ago and more than 20 cents below the average price a year ago.

     However, it is more than a dime higher than the current statewide average in California and $1.27 above the current national average.

     As far a Gas Buddy is concerned, the cheapest gas in Ventura County is at Speedway on Saviers Road in Oxnard at $4.25 a gallon, if you pay cash.

     After that is at the Shell station on Los Angeles Avenue in Simi Valley and Fred's Gas on Saviers Road in Oxnard, both at $4.29, if you pay cash.
