Average Gasoline Prices In Ventura County Flirt With $5 A Gallon

     The average price for the cheapest grade of gasoline in Ventura County has stalled out at just under $5 a gallon.

     According to Friday morning's Triple-A Fuel Gauge Survey it stood at slightly more than $4.94 a gallon, almost the same as Thursday and two cents more than a week ago.

     It is 17 cents more than a month ago but 89 cents below what it was a year ago.

     Ventura County is 7 cents higher than the statewide average in California and about $1.50 more than the national average.

     Diesel fuel has been on a steady decline and now stands at $5.76 a gallon on average.

     That is 7 cents below a month ago and 45 cents below a year ago in Ventura County.

     Meanwhile, Gas Buddy shows Silvas in Ventura as the cheapest place for gasoline in Ventura County at $4.37 a gallon.
