Fiery Fatal Crash In Simi Valley Early Saturday Morning

     The CHP is investigating a fiery fatal crash in Simi Valley early Saturday morning.

     They say a white SUV was traveling westbound on the 118 Freeway just east of Sycamore Drive when it overturned and burst into flames.

     By the time first responders arrived, the person inside the vehicle was dead.

     The crash just before 2:30 AM initially shut down all lanes of the westbound 118 but by 3:11 AM the left lane had been reopened.

     By 7:20 AM just the right lane was closed.

     Exactly how the crash happened and exactly how the person died remain under investigation by the CHP and Ventura County Medical Examiner respectively.
