Ventura Kitchen Fire Sends One To Hospital

A kitchen fire in Ventura Monday sent one person to the hospital.
The Ventura City Fire Department says Monday afternoon they received a report of a residential structure fire in the area of Main and Ann streets.
When they arrived on scene they found a single family home with smoke showing.
They began an aggressive attack and had the fire knocked down in about ten minutes.
It was confined to the kitchen area of the home.
The fire department says that one civilian was treated at the scene for smoke inhalation and then taken to the hospital for further treatment.
The cause of the fire was under investigation.
