A Ventura transient is facing forever in prison after being convicted of 11 pages of charges and special allegations regarding the sexual abuse and rape of young girl that lasted 4 years.

Prosecutors say that now 41-year-old Jameson Paul Johnson met the victim in 2005 when she was 10 years old and both were transients living in Ventura.

They say when the girl was 11-years-old Johnson began to sexually abuse her and that abuse, including rape, continued until she was 15.

Prosecutors say it stopped only after Johnson was arrested for making criminal threats against her and her mother.

However the sex abuse allegations did not come to light until 2016 after Johnson sent the victim threatening letters from prison.

Following a trial that ended March 1st, a jury found Johnson guilty of 13 felony counts including six of forcible lewd acts upon a child, six of aggravated sexual assault of a child, and one count of forcible rape.

And the jury and judge also found true more than 100 special allegations against Johnson.

He remains in the Ventura County Jail and is being held without bail.

Johnson will be sentenced on April 25th and faces 90-years-to-life in prison plus an additional 21 years after that sentence is served.
