Young Man Shot In Camarillo Friday Night Dies

Updated--The Ventura County Sheriff's Major Crimes Bureau says the young man who was shot and critically wounded Friday night during what was initially reported as a possible fight in Camarillo has died.
They say 19-year-old Garrett Sutton of Camarillo died Saturday morning at the hospital.
Around 8:30 PM Friday, deputies responded to the 400 block of Fulton Street to a report of several males who were about ready to fight.
As deputies responded, there were additional reports of shots being fired.
When deputies arrived at the scene, they found evidence of a shooting and learned that Sutton had been taken to Saint John's Pleasant Valley Hospital in Camarillo and later transferred to the trauma center at Los Robles Medical Center in Thousand Oaks where he underwent surgery.
He never recovered.
Detectives are looking for suspects and a motive in the shooting which is now a homicide.
They released the following statement regarding seeking public help in their investigation into the crime...
"The shooting appears to be an isolated event with no further known threat to the public.
