Winds Die Down, Power Restored, Red Flag Warning Expired

Friday November 26, 2021

Update--Two days of concern about wind-driven wildfires in Ventura County are now over as the extreme Santa Ana's departed Friday night.

Edison has canceled all Public Safety Power Shutoffs both active and potential and the power to the thousands of their customers in Ventura County who were impacted has been restored.

The Red Flag Warning for Ventura County was also allowed to expire at 6 PM Friday.

However, fire officials say that the vegetation that blankets the hillsides and canyons of Ventura County is still dry as a bone and humidity remains relatively low, so they are advising residents and others in the county to remain careful and vigilant even if extreme conditions have passed.
