Water Rescue Below Mugu Rock

     The Ventura County Fire Department and the Ventura County Air Unit combined to rescue what was reported as a victim in the water below Mugu Rock Thursday afternoon.

     The victim was found on the rocks at the water's edge.

     Firefighters quickly determined that the victim was in need of immediate medical attention that also included getting them to the hospital as soon as possible.

     It was decided that the quickest and safest way to do that was to hoist the victim up to the hovering Ventura County Air Unit helicopter and then fly them to the hospital.

     And that's what they did.

     No word on the current condition of the patient.
