Ventura County's Windy Tuesday

The northeast or Santa Ana winds that blew through Ventura County Monday night and Tuesday are dying down.
Some of the strongest winds were in the Simi Valley, Moorpark, Newbury Park, and Camarillo areas.
Simi Valley recorded wind gusts up to 67 mph with wind gusts of 60 mph in Newbury Park, while Moorpark experienced wind gusts of 58 mph, and Camarillo Airport 56 mph.
Wind gusts around the rest of the county ranged between 35 and 50 mph.
The strong winds toppled trees.
The CHP in Moorpark reported that Hitch Boulevard on the west side of Moorpark was closed at Ventavo Road after a large tree came down into power lines (see photo).
