Ventura County Sheriff's Detectives Bust Major Illegal Marijuna Growing Operation

The Ventura County Sheriff's Office says their narcotics detectives have busted a major illegal marijuana grow operation operating at residences in both Ventura and Los Angeles counties.
They say it involved six residences being operated by four suspects.
The residences were in Simi Valley, Santa Clarita, Los Angeles, and Acton.
The four suspects range in age from 34 to 54 and lived at four of the six locations where the grows were being conducted.
Detectives say the total number of plants found at the six locations was 1700 with another 45 pounds of processed marijuana.
They also found a large cache of firearms, and large amounts of illegal drugs such as opiates and psilocybin mushrooms.
Detective also found a lot of cash.
They say the homes underwent major conversions in order to conduct the growing, harvesting, and processing operation.
Intricate timing, lighting, irrigation, and fertilization mechanisms had been installed.
Detectives say two the the Simi Valley residences had been so impacted the conversion they were declared uninhabitable.
All four suspects were booked into the Ventura County Jail and then released on bail with future court dates.
