The unemployment rate in Ventura County last month stood at 3.7 percent, unchanged from October but below what it was a year ago when it stood at 4.1 percent in November of 2017.
The rate last month was lower than the state average of 3.9 but higher than the national average of 3.5 percent.
As far as job sectors are concerned, Ventura County gained 700 new jobs from October to November and 4800 new jobs between November of 2017 and last month.
Both month-to-month and year-to-year, all sectors showed gains or no change except for Farm, Manufacturing, Information, Educational and Health Services, and Other Services that showed declines between October and November.
Over the past 12 months, the sectors that declined were Trade, Transportation, and Utilities, Information, and Other Services.
