Three Cinco de Mayo Week DUI/DL Checkpoints In Ventura County Net 3 Arrests

A total of 3 DUI arrests were made at three DUI/DL checkpoints conducted during Cinco de Mayo week in Ventura County.
The first was on Cinco de Mayo in Thousand Oaks from 6 PM to 1 AM on westbound Hillcrest Drive east of Conejo School Road.
Deputies made one DUI arrest and cited 4 drivers for operating a vehicle unlicensed or with a suspended or revoked license.
Then on Friday night May 7th, two DUI/DL checkpoints were held.
In Oxnard, the checkpoint was located at Oxnard Boulevard and Second Street from 7 PM to 12:30 PM.
Oxnard police say 1112 drivers were screened and two drivers were arrested for DUI.
They say 15 drivers were cited for operating a vehicle unlicensed or with a suspended or revoked license.
And finally, in Ventura Friday night from 9 PM to 1 AM, a checkpoint was conducted in the 4200 block of East Main Street.
VPD says 671 cars went through the checkpoint and 466 drivers were screened.
There were 10 field sobriety tests conducted but apparently no DUI arrests were made.
They say two citations were issued for being an unlicensed driver and one citation was issued to a driver whose license was suspended.
