Ventura County Authorities Investigating 3rd Fatal Shooting In Less Than A Week

Ventura County authorities are investigating the third fatal shooting in less than a week.
The latest was in Oxnard early Wednesday morning.
Oxnard police say that around 1:14 AM, officers and emergency medical personnel responded to the 700 block of Cooper Road to a report of a shooting victim in the north alley.
44-year-old Oscar Rodriguez of Oxnard underwent life saving measures both at the scene and at VCMC, but he died.
No word on suspects or a motive.

This follows a fatal shooting in Port Hueneme shortly before midnight Sunday.
They found the victim at Anchor Avenue and Marina Village Street.
The 18-year-old male from Camarillo died at the scene.
Port Hueneme police say they have no suspects or a motive for that killing.

This spree of gun violence started Saturday afternoon when a man in his 50's was found suffering from a gunshot wound on Whipple Road in east Santa Paula.
Despite life saving efforts by emergency personnel at the scene and later at VCMC, he died.
Police were looking for suspect and a motive for this killing too.
