Ventura police say two people were killed in a solo vehicle crash into a building early Sunday morning.
It happened at 12:13 AM in the 4200 block of Market Street near Donlon Street.
Police say that the vehicle was traveling eastbound on Market at what appears to have been a high rate of speed when it left the roadway and crashed into a building on the westbound side of the street just east of Donlon.
When firefighters and police arrived at the scene, they found the driver and a passenger in the vehicle.
Ventura police say the two young men in the vehicle, the driver 21-year-old Antony Moctezuma, and a passenger 19-year-old Agustin De Paz, both from Ventura, were pronounced dead at the scene.
Police say that a second passenger had serious but not life threatening injuries and was taken to VCMC for treatment.
