Ventura PD Says Shooting That Left 1 Person Dead And 2 Others Wounded May Be Gang Related

Ventura police are investigating what they believe might be a gang related shooting early Sunday morning that left one person dead and two others critically wounded.
It was reported shortly after 2 AM in the city parking lot at 53 Oak Street near Main Street downtown.
The say that 20-year-old Anthony Castanon of Santa Paula was taken by ambulance to VCMC where he died.
Around the same time two other males, a 17-year-old from Santa Paula and a 24-year-old from Oxnard, showed up by private vehicles at Community Memorial Hospital with gunshot wounds.
They were later taken by ambulance to VCMC where police say there were in critical but stable condition.
The Ventura Police Department Major Crimes Unit is trying to sort out the circumstances that led to the shootings.
