Updated--A Thousand Oaks man originally charged with dozens of child luring and other crimes involving at least three teenage girls has been sentenced to what will likely be only a couple of years in prison.

24-year-old Devon Joelson had earlier pleaded guilty to three counts of felony child luring and one felony count of arranging a meeting for the purpose of exposing himself.

The authorities alleged that Joelson used social media to victimize teenage girls ranging in age from 14 to 17 by attempting to lure them Online into meeting him.

In at least one case, Joelson succeeded, resulting in an attempted sexual assault.

In the end he pleaded guilty to only four of the 40 felony and misdemeanor charges against him.

     The rest were dismissed.

He also pleaded guilty in a separate case to domestic violence.

The judge sentenced Joelson to a total of six years in prison for both cases but he was also given credit for the time he has been in jail.

That means he is headed to prison for maybe two years, if that.

He must also register as a sex offender.

And before all of this, Joelson had been on probation for felony animal cruelty after kicking a neighbor's dog to death in 2019.
