Thursday January 13, 2022
The latest statistics show that of the total number of new COVID cases during the past 14 days in Ventura County, 23 percent of them were among the fully vaccinated.
That’s down from 47 percent the week before.
The update on so-called “breakthrough” cases in the county shows that of the more than 580,000 fully vaccinated people in the county almost 11,000 have become inflected for an infection rate among the fully vaccinated now approaching two percent.
The numbers released Wednesday show no change from last week in the number of fully vaccinated people who have died or who have been hospitalized.
