Monday November 22, 2021

The Ventura County Sheriff's Office says a suspect has been arrested for attempted murder in connection with the stabbing last Friday morning in Camarillo.

The incident happened at Outlaws Grill and Saloon in the 2100 block of Pickwick Drive.

Deputies allege that 45-year-old Alejandro Rojas of Camarillo stabbed the 53-year-old male victim multiple times.

The victim was taken to a local hospital where deputies say his condition worsened and he underwent emergency surgery and is now in stable condition.

Meanwhile, detectives determined that Rojas was the suspect in the incident and that he had also punctured the tires on the victim's vehicle.

Rojas was located and arrested late Friday afternoon and booked into the Ventura County Jail for Attempted Murder and vandalism with bail set at $510,000.

He is due in court Tuesday to be arraigned.
