Strawberries Continue To Be The Top Crop In Ventura County

     The total value of all crops in Ventura County last year topped $2.1 billion, an increase of 2% over the year before.

     And strawberries continue to top the list with a total value in 2023 of $733,257,000.

     Nursery Stock was second, Lemons third, Celery fourth, and Raspberries in fifth place.

     The top ten was rounded out by Avocados, Blackberries, Peppers, Tomatoes, and Lettuce.

     Of note was another type of berry, Blackberries jumped to seventh place, increasing in value by 56% at $70,177.000.
