Wednesday September 13, 2023
Updated--A strange threat prompted a lockdown at a high school in Simi Valley late Wednesday morning.
The Simi Valley Unified School District said in a post on their Facebook page that the threat was written on a desk at Royal High School.
It said that there was a bomb on campus in a specific location.
The school went on lockdown while Simi Valley police, including a K-9, conducted an extensive search of the campus and found nothing.
By early afternoon, the incident was over and the campus was declared safe.
During the search, school officials informed parents there was no need to respond to the school.
The investigation is now underway to determine who wrote the threat and why.
