Strange Circumstances Surrounding Major Injury Crash On 101 In Thousand Oaks

      The CHP was investigating what was labeled a major injury traffic collision on the 101 Freeway in Thousand Oaks early Saturday morning that might have been more than just a traffic collision.

     It was reported shortly before 1:30 AM on the northbound 101 south of Ventu Park Road.

     Initially it involved a collision between at least two and maybe three vehicles.

     The vehicles were in traffic lanes and the report was that people were out of the vehicles and also in traffic lanes.

     At one point the CHP received a report that two people were fighting and that one pushed the other into traffic where they were struck.

     The CHP arrived on scene and stopped all lanes of traffic while they and emergency medical personnel dealt with several injured parties.

     At least one of the injured parties was taken to the hospital with major injuries, but how they received those injuries remains unclear.

     More than three hours later the CHP had cleared the incident and had labeled it a two vehicle major injury crash.
