Simi Murder Suspect In Court Tuesday

     The Ventura County District Attorney's Office has charged a Simi Valley man with murder in the stabbing death of his girlfriend.

     It is alleged that 34-year-old Ramon Rivas stabbed 34-year-old Jessica Tinoco multiple times in her face, chest, and abdomen late Friday afternoon in their residence in the 800 block of California Avenue.

     The brutal attack happened in front of her children and because of that Rivas is also facing a child indangerment charge.

     Rivas is an ex-con with an extensive record and was on probation as Post Release Offender.

     He did not enter a plea at his arraignment Tuesday and it was continued until October 30th.

     Meanwhile, Rivas remains in the Ventura County Jail and is being held without bail.
