An investigation is underway into a residential structure fire in Ventura Wednesday night.
It was reported shortly after 8 PM in the 3700 block of Sheldon Drive.
When firefighters arrived they found smoke and flames coming from a single story home.
The occupants had already safely evacuated and firefighters started an aggressive attack both inside the structure and on the roof.
They had the fire knocked down in about 20 minutes.
They spent 90 minutes conducting overhaul to make sure the fire was out.
One person was treated at the scene.
The residents were advised that Ventura Building and Safety had to determine it was safe before residents would be allowed back into the home.
