Update--Depending on where you are in Ventura County, Thursday could mean some scattered light showers or a deluge as a low pressure system moves through the region.

The scattered light showers are expected in Ventura County's populated areas but in the extreme northern mountains in the Ventura County backcountry some of the areas that experienced recent wildfires be hit hard by expected scattered thunderstorms.

Those mountain areas could see significant debris flows and flooding with rain falling at one inch per hour.

A Flood Watch will be in effect for those areas.

The areas of concern are where the Apache and Hurricane fires burned recently far up along Highway 33 well north of the Ojai Valley.

When you look at the populated areas from the Ojai Valley to Thousand Oaks, Ventura to Piru, and Oxnard to Simi Valley, rainfall should be the exact opposite, very little and very light.

By Friday it's all gone and by the weekend we get clear, dry, and warmer into next week.
