Santa Paula Police Say There Was No Credible Threat To Santa Paula High School

     Updated--Santa Paula police say their investigation turned up no credible threat to Santa Paula High School.

   On Friday, police issued a statement that said there were "social media rumors about a perceived threat" regarding Santa Paula High School.

   They called the threat "unverified" and said they were trying to determine its source.

   Meanwhile, they said everyone at the school was safe and classes proceeded as usual.

   They increased police presence on campus and with patrols around campus while the rumors were investigated.

    By the end of the day they released this statement, "After several hours of investigation, the Santa Paula Police Department determined there were no credible threats against any student or staff at Santa Paula High School."

    They did say the "all-school rally" was cancelled as a precaution.
