Pedestrian Struck By Vehicle In East Ventura

     Ventura police were investigating a traffic accident that sent a pedestrian to the hospital with major injuries.

     It was reported around 9:15 PM Tuesday night at Montgomery Avenue and North Bank Drive.

    They say after the vehicle struck the pedestrian, the driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with investigators.

     Police say that alcohol and drugs were NOT involved in the accident.

     The area was closed for a time after that for accident investigation.

     Meanwhile, around the same time as the accident, police also received a 911 call of a shooting at nearby Truckee Street but that turned out not to be true, there was no shooting.
