Oxnard Police Investigate Hit And Run Collision That Seriously Injured Teen Bicyclist
Monday December 26, 2022
Oxnard police are investigating a hit and run traffic collision that seriously injured a teenage bicyclist on Christmas Day.
They say it happened shortly after 4:30 PM Sunday afternoon in the area of Kenita Street and Kumquat Place.
The 13-year-old boy was on his bicycle when he was struck by a black Dodge Charger that fled the area.
He was taken to VCMC and was reported to be in stable condition.
Police say the same vehicle was involved in another hit and run incident and was being followed by the victim of that collision when the boy was hit.
They also believe the driver of the Dodge Charger may have been involved in other crimes over the previous 24 hours.
Police say they believe they've located the vehicle but they are looking for any information or video that might help in their investigation into these and other incidents involving the same vehicle.
If anyone has original security video, cell phone video, or photographs that they believe would be helpful, please email or call Traffic Investigator Alexis Arellano for a link to upload the evidence.
