One Person Dead In A Fiery Fatal Crash In Thousand Oaks
Tuesday June 21, 2022
For the second time in as many days, traffic investigators in Thousand Oaks are determining the cause of a fiery fatal crash in that city.
The latest happened shortly before 2 AM Tuesday.
The Ventura County Sheriff's Office says that a sedan was traveling northbound on Westlake Boulevard north of Cloverleaf Street when it slammed into a tree in the center median and burst into flames.
The driver, a male in his 20's, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Deputies say it was a solo vehicle crash and he was the only occupant in the vehicle.
Westlake Boulevard in that area was still shut down at 11 AM Tuesday.
It was just last Sunday morning minutes before 3 AM when a sedan traveling southbound on Wendy Drive in the Newbury Park section of Thousand Oaks left the roadway, hit a tree on the west side of Wendy Drive just north of Peppermint Place, and burst into flames killing the Thousand Oaks man who was driving.
That was also a solo vehicle crash with only one victim.
