One Dead, Five Injured In Chain Reaction Crash That Shut Down The 126 For 12 Hours

The CHP says one person was killed, five others injured, in a chain reaction crash that shut down the eastbound 126 between Ventura and Santa Paula for 12 hours.
It happened around 4:50 PM Thursday afternoon eastbound near the Edwards Ranch overpass.
The CHP says a 25-year-old Oxnard woman driving a Toyota illegally in the center divider lost control and crashed into a Ford and the Ford crashed into a Dodge.
The six people involved in the three vehicles went to three different hospitals.
A 56-year-old Bakersfield woman who was a passenger in the Dodge died at Los Robles Medical Center.
Three other people in the Dodge, including a 1-year-old and a 2-year-old, suffered minor to moderate injuries.
The driver of the Ford suffered moderate injuries.
And the driver of the Toyota, the 25-year-old Oxnard woman who the CHP says started the chain reaction crash, major in juries and was arrested on what the CHP described as various felony charges.
The eastbound 126 was shut down for 12 hours until 4:55 AM Friday.
