Ojai Valley Parolee Arrested For Felony Gang Vandalism

Saturday July 4, 2020

The Ventura County Sheriff's Office says they've arrested a parolee for felony gang vandalism.

They say Friday morning fresh gang graffiti was found on 10 different businesses and residences along the 400-500 blocks of North Ventura Avenue in Oak View.

That's Highway 33 through Oak View and deputies say it was very visible to motorists driving through that area.

The Sheriff's Gang Unit took over the investigation and they determined through witnesses information and security video that the alleged suspect was 27-year-old Fidencio Ramirez of Oak View.

They say Ramirez is on parole for a 2014 robbery conviction.

They also allege that he is a gang member.

By Friday afternoon, they arrested Ramirez at his home in Oak View and he was booked into the Ventura County Jail.

While his bail is set at $200,000, he cannot be released because of a parole hold.
