Ojai Valley Man Charged With Child Molestation

     The Ventura County District Attorney's Office has filed an extensive child molestation case against an Ojai Valley man.

     70-year-old Aristeo Rivera Ramos of Oak View is charged with 11 counts of Forcible Lewd Acts on minors under the age of 14.

     He also also facing Special Allegations of Substantial Sexual Conduct and that he perpetrated the alleged crimes against more than one victim.

     Ramos is accused of molesting two victims beginning in 2011 when the children were six years old through 2020.

     If convicted, he could face up to 275 years to life in prison.

     Ramos, who was arrested on January 24th, had his arraignment postponed until February 27th.

     He was allowed to be free on his own recognizance over the objection of prosecutors.

     The only conditions of his release without bail is that he not have any contact with his alleged victims, stay away from anyone under the age of 18, and that he stay at least 10 yards away from the fence line at his home that borders an elementary school.
