Monday Coastal Highs Continued To Cool While The Valleys Hung On To Triple Digits For One More Day

     Update--The coastal cool down continued Monday but the valleys of Ventura County still hung on to triple digits.

     The National Weather Service says Ojai remained the hot spot in Ventura County Monday at 105 with Fillmore coming in at 103, Simi Valley 101, and Thousand Oaks at 100.

     Along the coast, it was 87 in Camarillo Monday, 77 at the National Weather Service Office in Oxnard, and Ventura checked in at 74.

     Tuesday Ventura County's valleys may final see highs dip under triple digits for the first time in a week with forecast highs in the upper '90s.

     Coastal highs Tuesday will range in the low to mid '70s

     The Excessive Heat Warning for all of Ventura County's valleys and mountains will remain in effect through Tuesday but the High Advisory for the coast will be gone.
