Overdose Incident In Ventura Claims One Life, Sends 3 Others To Hospital

     Ventura police tell KVTA News that narcotics detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding what appears to have been the drug overdose of four people found in the downtown parking structure on Santa Clara Street west of Chestnut Street Saturday night.

     One of the four was pronounced dead at the scene, the other three were revived with the use of naloxone and taken to the hospital.

     Their current conditions are unknown.

     Police are trying to determine what substance was involved but it’s suspected to be opiate-based.

    No other details are being released at this time.
