Jury Convicts Port Hueneme Man Of The Extensive Sexual Abuse Of 3 Little Girls

A Ventura County jury has convicted a Port Hueneme man of the extensive sexual abuse of three little girls.
The panel found 44-year-old Jesus Andrew Sapien guilty of more than a dozen felony counts of lewd acts upon a child.
The jury also found true 65 special allegations including that the victims were under the age of 14, they were vulnerable, and that he took advantage of a position of trust.
In May of 2020, the mother of a six-year-old victim reported the molestation to Port Hueneme police.
Two additional victims came forward with the same allegations.
Sapien had gained access to the victims through a familial relationship.
He remains in the Ventura County Jail and cannot be released.
Sapien is set to be sentenced on September 10th and faces a maximum sentence of 325 years to life in state prison.
