In-Person Visiting To Resume At Ventura County Jails

Tuesday April 06, 2021

The Ventura County Sheriff's Office says that inmates in Ventura County jails will be able to have in-person visitors for the first time since the coronavirus surge in December.

They will resume this coming Monday, April 12th at both the Todd Road Jail near Santa Paula and the Pretrial Detention Facility in Ventura.

Schedules can be found at Venturasheriff.org under the category of "Inmate Information".

There will be social distancing rules and masks will be required except for when you use the phone to communicate with the inmate.

Visitors will be allowed inside in hourly intervals with all visits lasting no longer than 30 minutes to allow for sanitizing the visiting area for each new group.

Visitors are expected to check-in at the Public Reception Lobby prior to cut-off times and should do so early so that waiting lists can be fairly maintained.

The sheriff's office expects high demand for visits so not everyone will be able to be accommodated at all times.

Video visits will continue to operate normally for those who may want to use that as an alternative and more information can be found at Securustech.net
