Goleta Man Sentenced For Making Death Threats Against Thousand Oaks School District Official

Update--The Goleta man who pleaded guilty to making death threats against officials at the Conejo Valley Unified School District in Thousand Oaks has been sentenced.
The judge gave 45-year-old Randell Graham a suspended sentence, placed him on formal probation for two years and also sentenced him to a year in jail but deemed that sentence already served based on the time he already spent in jail plus credits.
Graham was released from the Ventura County Jail Tuesday afternoon.
The charges relate to a specific death threat against the district's superintendent.
A similar second count and a second special allegation that was more general in nature and aimed towards the school board was dismissed.
He was also ordered to avoid any and all contact with the Conejo Unified School District and its employees.
Graham was arrested last October after the authorities say he called the district twice on October 13th and left two voice mails that contained the threats.
He was apparently upset over a claim posted on social media regarding an incident that the district later said did not happen.
This all happened during a heated political battle over district educational polices and actions by the school board.
The political battle and media posts were prior to the November 8th election as two sides were vying for control of the school board.
It's an issue that has not gone away.
A lawsuit has been filed by some parents over the district's sex education program.
