Firefighters made quick work of a vegetation fire Saturday morning near Oxnard.
It was reported around 8:40 AM in the Santa Clara River bottom near Wagon Wheel Road and the 101 Freeway.
When firefighters arrived on the scene, they found a 20-foot-by-20-foot fire in heavy vegetation.
There was also a report of a victim in a homeless camp nearby.
Fire crews began to attack the fire and also look for the victim.
They had the forward progress of the fire stopped within about 20 minutes and the fire was reported out within a half hour.
It burned less than a quarter acre.
As for the victim in the homeless camp, firefighters searched for the individual but did not find anyone.
Cause of the fire is under investigation.
