Falcon 9 Launch From Vandenberg Creates Spectacular Images

     The launch of a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket from Vandenberg Space Force Base in western Santa Barbara County Thursday evening was spectacular and a success.

     The 6:14 PM liftoff happened just as the sun was setting and with clear skies it's contrail created a light show that could be seen throughout Southern California.

     The launch was also successful in deploying 53 more Starlink Internet satellites into orbit.

     The first stage of the rocket then returned in a controlled descent to a successful landing on a drone ship in the Pacific ocean.
