Bear Headed Out To His Car In Santa Paula Thursday Morning

     Santa Paula police say there was a bear sighting in their city just before dawn Thursday.

     The black bear was spotted outside a home on Leavens Court around 5 AM.

     That's a residential area southeast of the intersection of Foothill Road and Peck Road in the northwest section of the city.

     Responding officers were able to capture some video, but not the bear.

     It was last seen heading south through the neighborhood.

     The U-S Fish and Wildlife Service responded but were unable to locate the bear.
