Arrests Made In The Shooting Death Of A Camarillo Man At Stearns Wharf In Santa Barbara

     Santa Barbara police say they've arrested four suspects in connection with the shooting death of a Camarillo man in the area of Stearns Wharf.

     They say that 52-year-old Robert Dion Gutierrez of Camarillo was an innocent bystander when he was shot on the night of December 9, 2022.

     He died at Cottage Hospital on December 20, 2022 from the gunshot wound he had suffered in the shooting.

     Thursday, search and arrest warrants were executed at several locations throughout the city and county of Santa Barbara.

     Police say four suspects were taken into custody.

     The four adult males, all in their early '20s and all from Santa Barbara, were booked into the Santa Barbara County Jail on murder charges.

     A fifth arrest involved a 16-year-old male who was booked into Juvenile Hall in Santa Maria for being a juvenile in possession of a firearm.
