A Windy Wednesday For Ventura County

Tuesday January 25, 2022

     From the National Weather Service...

"Gusty northeast winds will affect the usual Santa Ana wind-prone areas of Ventura and Los Angeles Counties from late Tuesday through Wednesday.

Areas affected include the L.A. County mountains, the Santa Clarita and San Fernando Valleys, the Ventura County Valleys and coast, and the L.A. County coast from Malibu to the Hollywood Hills.

The strongest winds will occur over the mountains where sustained winds of 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 50 mph will be likely.

Slightly weaker sustained winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 45 mph will be likely across the valleys.

For coastal areas look for wind gusts up to 35 mph at times possible by early Wednesday.

These gusty winds, especially over the mountains and valleys, will bring the potential for hazardous driving conditions for high-profile vehicles and downed trees and power lines."
