We will have mostly sunny days and clear nights this weekend with some Ventura County valleys topping 100 degrees Friday and Saturday.
The beaches and inland coastal areas will be in the 70's and 80's.
Overnight lows for all areas will be in the 50's and 60's.
Sunday and Monday will be only slightly cooler and mainly along the coast, with valleys highs staying in the 90's to near 100.
We will not really start to cool down until Tuesday or Wednesday.
Here is what the National Weather Service is saying...
"Dangerously hot conditions are possible, especially away from the coast, each day through Saturday as strong high pressure builds over the region. The hottest day is expected to be Friday, when many valley locations will see temperatures above 100 degrees. Follow the tips above to “Beat the Heat”. Stay hydrated by drinking plenty of fluids, especially water. Any strenuous work or exercise should be done in the early morning hours, or evening hours. Dress in loose fitting, light colored, and lightweight clothing. Also, never, ever, leave children, elderly and pets in and enclosed car, even with the windows down during this heat."
